Anthony Kimaro

Anthony Anderson Kimaro joined World Agroforestry in November 2011 as the Country Representative for Tanzania. In 2013 he was appointed the Adjunct Professor of Soils and Agroforestry by the Department of Soil Science, University of Toronto to support research projects on fertilizer micro-dosing in the Sahel and soil carbon sequestration in semiarid agroforestry systems in Tanzania. Anthony is also a Visiting Research Fellow (2016 to date) for the working group “Sustainable Land Use in Developing Countries” of the Leibniz Centre for Agricultural Landscape Research (ZALF) at Müncheberg, Germany. His research interests include Climate smart agriculture, Ecological interactions in Agroforestry, Carbon sequestration in agroforestry, Bioenergy, Integrated natural resource management, and soil fertility and plant nutrition
