Julian Ramirez-Villegas

Julian gained a PhD on climate change impacts and adaptation in the School of Earth and Environment at University of Leeds in early 2014. Prior to that he worked in the International Center for Tropical Agriculture (CIAT) as a research assistant on crop-climate interactions and crop modelling. He is now working as a postdoctoral research fellow in the School of Earth and Environment, at the University of Leeds, in the Climate Impacts Group led by Prof. Andy Challinor. He also works in the Decision and Policy Analysis program at the International Center for Tropical Agriculture (CIAT), through a Leeds-CIAT joint position funded by the CGIAR Research Program on Climate Change, Agriculture and Food Security (CCAFS).

During his career, Julian has contributed to a broad range of research projects at CCAFS and CIAT and has published a number of papers related to crop-climate modelling, climate change impacts, adaptation, conservation of biodiversity and plant genetic resources.
