Samuel Gaturu
Samuel Gaturu serves as the Programme Manager for the Land Health Decisions theme at the World Agroforestry Centre (ICRAF) with over 8 years’ experience in Programme Management and Co-ordination role. Gaturu’s current responsibilities include developing and managing the theme’s Programme of Work & Budgets, Programme Co-ordination & Administration including an oversight role in Procurement, Travel and co-ordination of donor reporting activities. He is also responsible for project communication activities and liaison with national and regional partners. He worked previously as a Project Officer with the Tropical Biology Association in Kibale Forest, Uganda and as the Conservation & Research Co-ordinator in Tsavo Conservation Area (TCA) with the East Africa Ornithological Safaris Ltd. He holds an MSc degree in Project Management from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture & Technology and a BSc (Hons) in Wildlife Ecology & Management from Moi University. His interests are in developing efficient and effective tools for managing project deliverables and timely delivery of donor-funded projects in Agriculture, Conservation and Natural Resource Management sectors.
