Technical support for Alliance for CSA in Africa (ACSAA)

Under P4S, CGIAR-CCAFS serves as a technical partner for the Alliance for Climate-smart agriculture (CSA) in Africa (ACSAA), an initiative to collaboratively support respective Governments to develop and implement CSA programs within their National Agriculture Investment Plans (NAIPs). Through the co-development and application of scientific information, models and tools, ACSAA partnerships support the scaling of a CSA approach for programs ranging from sub-national to continental levels.

The P4S-ACSAA partnership extends other ongoing CCAFS and ICRAF activities—such as ERA (Evidence for Resilience Agriculture), the CSA Prioritization Framework and Climate Wizard—to include advanced analytical approaches and co-learning partnerships with major development actors in sub-Saharan Africa who support the emerging CSA agenda.

P4S currently collaborates with ACSAA in multiple countries, including Botswana, Ethiopia, Kenya, Malawi, Namibia, Niger, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda and Zambia.
